They run lean from start to finish lol.

Maybe it jumped?

Jeez idk jumped time I would imagine it would cause more problems, I know in some of the Hondas when they jump time the valves can hit and and it becomes a mess

I've read up an have heard that the 4.6's are pretty much prone to ping, sucks that ford decided to run lean that rich but I suppose being we run 4 cats in these trucks it's a good thing to run lean

Power Improved ? Yea, it should say on the outside of the casting. At #7 and #8 cylinder. - Just above anyway. There will be a part number and the letters "P I" embossed into the casting.

That's if you have a PI motor. First year for the F150 PI heads was 1999. So I doubt it, unless it's like what Dynotech posted up earlier.

Yea I dont think it has pi heads, truck was owned by an older couple before I bought it from the guy I got it from, and the guy I got it from was in his 40's

Yep I cleaned the maf, Ran seafoam through it
Techron cleaner through it, I recently put gumout fuel injector cleaner through it, pulled TB off and cleaned the passages, nothin seemed to help, I still have to change plugs soon when I get money, I haven't ran 87 or 89 octane since I put gumout cleaner in it yet but every thing previously didn't seem to help, I'm almost startin to think its heavy carbon build up but i could be wrong

I'd get after those plugs as well, - somethings not right. Your particular engine is picky when it come to plugs. Best thing to do is just make sure you use Motorcraft ONLY plugs. Inferior plugs can cause numerous issues.

Check your plug wires if you have a 4six. I mean, make absolutely sure they're up to par. Somethings weak and not performing as it should.

A compression test is usually the final step taken in determining carbon build up or other. Making sure EVERYTHING is updated (the maintenance items especially), because it can be a combination of factors causing the issues, uknmow, - not just one part.

I wouldn't use any more additives now, specially Seafoam.

I threw some 89 octane in it yesterday night and do far I have not heard pinging yet, so perhaps I've made a breakthrough here idk I'll keep updating, I'm gonna definantly try and change these plugs soon

I would start there, - there's something going on. Do you have a Infrared Temp gun by chance ? If so, see how hot your converters are getting. Is there allot of tinging or clanging after shutdown. Metal contracting noises? The cat will do that when loading up and being that you ran Seafoam, you pretty much ruined the advanced coating. IF you sucked it thru the booster line that is.

All I can think of, - plugs are a good start and wires if you have them.

I did suck it through brake booster, I don't really hear tinging or clanking after shut down so I think the converters are fine, and there seems to be plenty of exhaust flow yet

When you change the plugs, note what color they are. Running right, the V8 modulars run a little lean, so the plugs SHOULD be like an off white.

Make sure you have a Mororcraft PCV valve installed as well, - a new one. Yea, plugs and wires, Motorcraft brand. Your going to need upstream O2 sensors if your currant were blasted w/Seafoam. Your AF's won't be right.

I put a new Pcv in it but it's not a motorcraft, as far as the o2 sensors it might be awhile untill I can replace them, but I did forget to mention that the truck does burn about a quart of oil between oil changes, can't burning oil create carbon buildup???

A quart of oil in how many miles?

A non-Motorcraft PCV valve can have metering issues.
