Thinking about a stroker....

Well as we all know theres only so much you can do with these trucks and them be considered fast, esp with the 4.6 2v. Don't get me wrong, the mods Ive done have greatly improved it over stock and it is fun to drive....just still not fast enough for my liking. Ive considered a rear mount turbo or a supercharger and both have their pros and cons. I think Id really rather stay NA since this is a street truck and is a daily driver for me. So in comes the idea of a stroker motor. Ive narrowed it down to two options..... a DSS 5.3 or an MMR 5.4 based 5.8. Either would be topped with either worked stock PI heads or Trick Flow's with an appropriate cam choice, and a larger throttle body and possibly an HPS intake. And either would be finished with long tubes, x-pipe, and Borla XR1's....along with a higher stall converter and 4.10's possibly. I know either choice is gonna be a big investment, but I think well worth it. So Im looking for some opinions and suggestions. Ive been building cars for a long time now but I know I don't know everything and have more than likely missed something somewhere. So what do you guys think? Mind you my truck is a regular cab 2wd, so Im on the lighter end of the spectrum here and any added power will be more noticeable than on say a crew cab. So fire and flame away......
