Missing hose?

What is supposed to be connected to this? 04 4.6 2wd.

Goes back to the gas tank on mine. I think its part of the vapor recovery for the fuel tank. EVAP emissions control system part. My guess is that it removes trapped fuel vapor as a safety precaution.

Looks like a schrader valve for testing fuel pressure, it should have a cap on it.

It should have a GREEN cap on it along with a tag that says it is the evap system test port that looks like this:





Get a cap for it, then leave it alone. IOW, don't randomly screw with it.
