I have a 05 f250 5.4 crewcab 125k ran fine next day it starts missing so went and baught a scantool i check plugs and cops and sensors all r fine now heres the deal only happens after it reachs operating temp then runs horrible so i take the vct only engages when warm i now hear timing chain rattles and hers my list of.codes btw this truck has no cats and hasnt for a while .p0303..p0012..p0141..p0174..p0054..p0340..i plan on getting cats on soon btw so would a loose timing chain retard the phaser say if it has.broken guides and tensinors i pulled everything.off besides.the.valve covers and.timing cover still working on it do the valve covers have to come.off completety or can i loosen the bolts to get timing cover off? need help tips advice asap btw i just got laid.off a.month ago.short on cash so only fixing whats broke.
