351 motor swap into 99

I'm in the process of rebuilding my 99 parts truck into an offroad toy and i really want to put a 351 Cleveland into it. it originally had a 5.4 in it until the previous owner blew that to pieces. Does anybody have any advice? ever heard of something like this before? i havent done much looking for premade kits with motor mounts or anything. any advice would be appreciated.

Any specific reason you want the 351 over another 5.4?

A 351 will not bolt to your transmission, and you also would have all kinds of electronic issues to deal with. A 99-03 PI 5.4 would be a MUCH easier swap.

go with a 6.8 and add some boost...

sure the cleveland can be a good motor, but not in one of these trucks and still be street legal

If its full off road that will make it slightly easier because virtually all of the electronics would have to be redone. You would have to fabricate mounts for the engine and transmission and all. Anythings possible... practical? probably not. No one here to my knowledge has ever swapped in a push rod engine to a 97+
