flushing eng before oil change

ok- high milage eng with a tap, found the "intake manifold runner control" linkage had come apart on one bank not realy sure what it does. temp fix in place till i can get propper clip from ford.

but oil light comes on at idle so going to change sensor and install gauge to check things out (sensor only $16 so just going to change out)

but should i flush it with sea foam or something else to clean passages, not sure how it would effect tapping don't want to make it worse.......

oh ya- 2002 windstar 3.8l eng.

sorry - i'm posting on here because it has the most viewers and eng guys

No, do NOT try to flush it out. If you know for a fact that it's all sludged up, use AutoRX exactly as directed on their website.
