2007 Engine Slipping

I have 2007 4WD Lariat F-150 and the engine is "skipping" at times. It only happens while at cruising speeds. If I am on the throttle it runs fine. It has 85,000 miles on it. Any ideas are greatly appreciated.

Time for new spark plugs. They should have been changed at 60k. The PCM runs lean under light cruising loads for better gas mileage, and lean mixtures are hard to fire with excessive plug gaps.

^^^ I agree with glc . I would change plugs , and coil boots . Codes would help to narrow down a cyl to pay closer attn. to . A good tune up may take care of all your issues .
