Post 1st time here

Hey guys (girls),

This is my first time here. I have been on Stangnet for some time now (aka: crash). I no longer own a Mustang, and I have owned my F-150 since February.

The truck is bone stock now, but I am looking forward to modifying it.

Amen, crash1 –

You have the better half of the settlement. Truck & freedom, or is that truck = freedom?

Welcome. I let you in on a secret. The superchip should be the first mod you should do to your truck. Watch out for Raoul, his picture is in the General Discussion area.

I guess I don't count on this board message, but I have the Hypertech powermodule on my 93. I really can't tell a big difference w/ or w/o it, because in order for it to work carefully you have to WOT and run at least 92 octane. Maybe I am missing a few points of having a chip/module. Maybe you 97 and newer people have better luck?

Reavis- truck=freedom. Just try to throw a big screen into a Mustang...lol...I have to be honest, though, I am sure I'll own another.

I think I will truly be free when the truck satisfies my adrenalin dependency...my tolerance is high.

fast46- Thanks! I'll be sure to stay away from the pudding! lol

I'd like to know more too. You say first mod? Also, what about the "Power Programmer"?

Hey, are there any "free" mods out there?

For mods consider a Superchips (see other posts, a cat back exhaust (many to choose from) and an Air Aid intake to replace the restrictive factory stuff.
These 3 changes will give you the ost bang for the buck beginning with the Superchips.

Reavis- be sure to fill your gas cans on the ground...lol

The truck is a black, regular cab style side. 4.6l 5-sp LD.

NO power locks, windows, tilt, cruise, or pedals, no pin stripes, no belt, no leather, and no carpet...

If you want to see the truck, point your browser to: truckinweb.com, click on the camera, then select Oklahoma. You can also post your own.

I have thought about building something like the AIRAID. Has anyone attempted this?

Tina,

I knew it was hard to find, but It is interesting to hear you say rare. I have worked at dealerships for some time, and have never seen one, couldn't find one in Dallas, and I had to see it to believe it! I finally found it at the Tulsa Auto Collection.

hmustang- No, we had always had a truck too. I've had a Ranger, and an '89 F-150, so what DID take getting used to is NO I-beams!
