99 5.4 HP rating

I recently bought a used 99 F150 Lariat w/ 5.4 V8. I thought the engine was rated at 260 HP and 350 ft.lbs of tq. The owners manual, however, has different specs. It states the engine as 250 HP w/ 345 ft. lbs. of tq.

Which is the correct rating? My truck is an early 99 which may have printing errors in the manual (or am I wishful thinking)

Any advice would be helpful.

Thanks in advance.

Darin

I believe that your thought was correct. The 1999 recieved new heads and a better cam giving it 25 more hp and 15 more lb-ft torque. That puts it from 235 and 335, to 260 and 350, respectively.
