Code P0102 4.6L Help! Truck will not idle!

I own a 1997 F-150 4.6L V8. I tried to start the truck one day and it backfired with LOTS of white smoke coming from the engine. It smelled electrical but i could not find anything burnt. Now the truck does start but will not idle unless i have my foot to the floor, also there is backfiring in the headers with a strong smell of gas. I have searched everywhere and this code points to a MAF problem so I bought a brand new MAF sensor and checked the wiring and everything seems to check out. Could this be a computer issue or should i keep looking at the MAF to be the problem? Any help would be greatly appreciated guys! Thanks!!

Might want to check ......IAC, EGR, and DPFE along with vacuum leaks...
Also may want to do a compression test....

You didn't notice anything peculiar with the way it was running beforehand ? Absolutely nothing ? Just, out of the blue started doing this ?

Sounds like it hydrolocked on startup. Yes a compression test is in order. Just by removing the sparkplugs you should be able to determine which cyl is the culprit. It will have gas in it.
