Head gasket changing kit - 5.4L 2v

Will this component kit work properly on a 5.4L 2v SOHC (`99 f150)?

http://www.summitracing.com/parts/fm...-d46/overview/

It is listed as 4.6L SOHC, and the 5.4L kit they sell is listed for DOHC engines.

One of the advantages of using Summit Racing is they have techs that know what they are talking about. Call Summit. Tell them exactly what you have and they will get you the right part.

thanks for the ideas, summit had no idea and rock auto does not sell kits for less than $250 and they aren't ford parts, I'm looking to do this as cheap as possible with ford parts to help a friend.

Your model, -SOHC 4.6L's and 5.4L's use the same heads.

The 5four has more displacement from the longer stroke ie, different block/taller deck height.

That said, -the V10 heads are the same too, just one cylinder longer.

I would buy it and just compare the original head gaskets with the new head gaskets. Should be what you need. jmo
