Random miss at higher rpm

Hey guys not a f150 question but I know you guys are pretty good so here it goes...I have a 83 302 out of a mustang and it is now in a mazda/courier. It runs laike a scalded cat but sometimes has a random missfire. The ignition is a cheap procomp for the time being, could that be my problems?

I would check the timing and fuel pressure.

10° BTDC after you pull the timing plug on a warm engine. You can run up to 14° if you are willing to run premium fuel for a little more power.
