Another noise concern

Hello thanks for reading and I apologize if this question has been raised before.

I hear a distinct "pop" sound whenever I am flooring it at WOT at very high RPMs. I've got a 2006 with the 5.4. Everything is in my sig. I do not know if it's some issue with my exhaust system or a misfire or a problem with my custom tune.

It doesn't feel like anything is about to blow up but it is robbing me of high end power and I have to lay off of it or else WOT doesn't really do anything different than 3/4 throttle, you see what i'm saying? It's almost like a backfire-type sound...sounds like a series of small "pop! pop!" noises at WOT and the tachometer will sorta bounce when this popping occurs but it is NOT hitting the rev-limiter, I do know when that happens. It just does not sound like a nice, clean WOT acceleration.

Thanks and if words don't describe it good enough then I will try to get a video tomorrow.

Does it do it stock? My first tune from Bill caused pinging and destroyed my spark plugs.

Don't know and have not tried returning to stock. I'll check that tomorrow.

Could be the intake zip tube collapsing and cutting down air volume to the engine.
