If asked, I would suggest mods that improve airflow and decrease intake air temp, rather than driving the system rich. This is why I asked. If you can effectively reduce underhood temp, IAT should be reduced (especially if you own an open element filter). With the thermostat, these benefits may only be temporary, however, many report no problems.
Where do I need to cut my duct to remove the sleeve? What about the MAF mod?

CRASH1 CONCERNING THE MASS AIR SENSOR GO TO MUSTANGWORLD.COM, THEN TO THE "HOW TO ARTICLES", THEN YOULL SEE THE ART ABOUT THE MASS. IT ALSO HAS STEP BY STEP PHOTO'S WHICH MAKES IT EASY. NOTE- I COULDNT FIND ANY TAMPER PROOF TORX WRENCHES SO I JUST CUT A SLOT IN THE SCREWS WITH A DREMEL AND USED A SCREW DRIVER. (YOULL SEE WHAT I MEAN). AS FOR THE SLEEVE IN THE AIR BOX THERES ABOUT 20 DIFFERENT WAYS TO DO IT, GO TO "OTHER AFTERMARKET", THEN AIRBOXES AND THERES 4 PAGES OF HOW TO. TO REMOVE THE SLEEVE DO NOT!!! CUT ANYTHING ON THE AIR BOX ITSELF, U CAN CUT SLITS IN THE SLEEVE SO U SQUEEZE THE ENDS SMALLER SO IT WILL PULL OUT EASIER, MINE WAS ALSO GLUED IN SO I PRIED TO LOOSE WITH A SCREW DRIVER, THEN CUT THE SLITS ON BOTH ENDS AND PULLED IT OUT. I SURE AS HELL DIDNT HAVE A EASY TIME AT IT, I WAS ALMOST CONVINCED IT WASNT COMING OUT HOWEVER DETERMINATION AND PERSISTANCE PREVAILED. DONT WORRY ABOUT SCREWING UP THE MASS AIR SENSOR, IM ABOUT IMPATIENT AND SLOPPY AS THEY COME AND I DIDNT SCREW IT UP. ALSO YOUR FINAL PRODUCT SHOULD LOOK EXACTLY LIKE THE PHOTOS, I DIDNT DO IT THE FIRST TIME AND IT WOULDNT IDLE OR RUN WORTH A CRAP AND THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON, I TOOK IT APART AGAIN AND DID IT RIGHT AND NOW IT WORKS GREAT, THROTTLE RESPONSE WAS A HUGE!! IMPROVEMENT. I DID BOTH IN ABOUT 5 HOURS. DONT FORGET TO DISCONNECT THE BATT TO RESET THE COMPUTER.
