32v intek source

Used engine prices have gone sky high compared to what they were a few years ago. I have scoured the net looking for something reasonable. The best I can find is $1400 for something with about 100k miles.
Any suggestions?

I'm not sure what you are asking, BUT if that's a complete motor (oil pan to air filter, with the wiring harness it's nota bad deal)

why are you wanting the 32 valve motor? if it's for more horsepower than the 2 valve then can see it, if you wanting more torque for trailering / working then it's not the motor for you

I think the OP wants an OLD ENGINE with LOW MILES for next to nothing but I am not sure...

I can only imagine the threads that wil be started if he/she/it actually purchases an engine and tries to make the swap over un-informed about the parts needed

I'm trying to find out if anyone has a good source for a 32v 5.4 out of a navigator. Everything I am finding has a ton of miles or a ridiculous price.
Taraj, I've read every thread on the intek swap. Thank you very little.
... and what disadvantage is there using the intek over the 16v?

the local wrecking yard wants $200 for one, but you've got to remove it yourself...

plenty of deals like that roaming around, plus then you'd have access to the throttle cable, cruise control cable and intake ducting also

I'm in Ohio and have called at least 10 yards plus another 5 or so out of state. I must need to turn over a few more rocks to find something better.
