2006 4.6 V8 Possible Issues

Hey people...
It's a month since I bought my new truck. Check the end of this thread:

https://www.f150online.com/forums/bu...g-truck-2.html

The truck still has less than 40,000 mi on it, and I was just browsing the forums for any information that I should know timely before problems arise.

The only thing that caught my attention was regarding some trouble with spark plug changes and/or cam phasers issues. When I searched the "V8 Engines" forum, everything on those results seemed to point to the 5.4L Triton engine. My truck says "F-150 Triton" on the side plates, but it does not say anything else anywhere on the engine or engine bay that points this engine to be the 3V engine. The 8th digit on the VIN is "W".

How can I know if this is really a Triton/3V engine or a 2V engine?
And in the case of a 3V, are there any problems that I need to be aware regarding the plugs or cam phasers?

I'm just making sure that I catch every thing on time before major damage is done. So far the truck drives like its brand new.

Thanks.

You have a 4.6 2 valve engine and have NOTHING to worry about.

Oh man!
I think I was just a victim of "over-searching/reading" these forums.
Thanks again..!

FYI the "W" means its a Romeo built engine not a Windsor. A "6" code is for Windsor. Just to clarify some confusion when buying replacment parts for earlier 4.6 engines.
