OK!Hypothetical Question?

I posted this in another forum on this site.

2007 5.4 stock motor. If I replaced the factory injectors with 39lb upgrade injectors, would I have to upgrade anything else? If so, what would they be, and would there be any benefit gained? There is no real purpose for this upgrade at this time, but just some preplaning for possible future upgrades (Turbo). Would I gain any performance?

First, the stock injectors deliver all the fuel your stock engine can handle, so no benefit.

Secondly, I had to remove the other thread as only one per subject is allowed. This is to eliminate posting confusion..

Yeah i figured it would have to be deleted. I hoped it would get more responses over there. A few guys I work with run diesels and they get alot of power from upgrading injectors and the thought hit me. Will gas motors respond the same way? I know that the diesels are already turbo, but just a thought.

What else do you need to know? Don't waste you money or time with injectors yet.

Figure out your build first, - turbo or whatnot. - Then determine fueling. Your tuner can help you with all that when the time comes.

Yea,- your engine is far from a diesel, -no need to compare, -different animal. Could sell that one and purchase a diesel w/turbo. Might be a better option, iduno... (?)
