Tune up help
Hey fellas....its been awhile since I was here. But I need some much needed advice on a tune up on my truck.
Its a 04 Lariat Screw...5.4. I need to know what all I would need to do for a "good" tune up. I am planning on replacing the coil packs and plugs. It has 117k miles.
It has a rough idle at times..and my gas mileage is horrible. At 70 I get 13mph. Used to be 21. So I know it needs a tune up.
Any input will be greatly appreciated. Thanks

no DTC's<<?>>
a rough idle at times in indicative of a bad COP.
not to familar with the 3 valves but you may want to look into a 1 piece spark plug or at least a updated plug. read the TSB on spark plug removal and consider renting the lisle tool, as the spark plugs are known to break in half in head and have caused a lot of heartache.
i have had good luck with ebay coils.
add a fuel filter and air filter and thats the basics. you could get some propane and spray engine to look for vacuum leaks too if you still have a miss.
