5.0 Coyote Comparison…

Hello All,

I am a new F150 owner – 2012 SuperCrew 4X4 with the 5.0L Coyote engine (Ti-VCT V8).

I was wondering what the physical differences were between the 5.0L truck engine (360 hp @ 5,500 RPM and 380 @ 4,250 RPM) and the 5.0L Mustang engine (420 hp @ 6,500 RPM and 390 lb-ft Torque @ 4,200 RPM).

Is it just an marketing thing or what?

Look forward to your insight,

From: In the fast lane from LA to Tokyo...
Cams, intake and the tunning are different. The compression is down to 10.5:1 and the truck has a diffrent oil cooler setup....

Thanks 88Racing for your quick response.

Seeing that the truck is still new and under factory warranty, I won't be changing any of the internals anytime soon.

I'll wait the 100,000 km (60,000 mi) and maybe think about adding an Edelbrock E-Force Supercharger to boost the HP up!

Thanks again,
