your in VA and the whole purpose is to get the LS.

aprreciated though

i need the driveshaft anyway, might as well do it all in one shot

considering getting the tranny 4r75 too. maybe they could do me a deal. then ill have a back up for turbo build. i dont think my TC or tranny going to last that long with FI, considering it iwas designed for a 4.6. id like to get a spare block too

first things first, i need LS. nothing s worse then a one wheel peel!!!

I'm thinking the pinion is longer, so you'll need the shaft ? Not sure, Something has to be... - To accommodate the larger ring gear. Additional length is needed to center with it, right.. Regardless, I'd need to either look up R&P sets and hope for a measurement or get a shaft measurement.
The "New" Junkyard 07 9.75 373 W/80k miles, Bolted Right into my 07 4x4 4.6 !
Had To Shorten Existing 4.6 Driveshaft Little over an inch....Sorry didn't record how much.
The 4.6 Uses 3-Leaf Spring Pak-The 5.4 USES 4-Leaf Spring pak* Left the 4.6 3-Leaf Springs in Since Have
Monroe Load Leveler Shocks. The 9.75 Uses 18" Wheels-Larger Axles BUT* SAME 6Lug Pattern on both. So, just used my 17" Stock Wheels & Brakes. Truck Really Hauls The Mail Now. It Seems? Just uh Little Quicker? These Ford 9.75 rearends
Are Being Compared To The Famous Dana 60!! I Think They're Rt* ...only weak spot compared to Dana=
Axle tubing thickness Ford=.180"--Dana=.250" if this Old guy remembers rt. So, Since I'm probably gonna be buried in this thing....can't afford new....I Will Just Turn it Into a 5.4 ! Research reveals, if u swap SAME YEAR 5.4 With Or Without Corresponding Replacement R75 Tranny-*WITH ALL THAT YEARS SMOG DEVICES=CA DMV Will Sign off on it And Test Accordingly Thereafter.
Food for Thought. Only problem I have run into is The ABS dash-Lt is on=no abs...hmmm..Any Suggestions? THNX ALL-
