Looking for new 5.0 - 5.8 for '87 F-150.
Currently have a 5.0l engine. Has anyone ever converted from a 5.0-5.8. What changes are necessary to make it work????

Motorsport offers a 5.8 engine made for 1996-7 F250-350. It could be made to work. You will need new accessory brackets, flexplate, ECU, etc. It will bolt right on to your present C6 trans. The engine mounts are the same. The oil pan on the 5.8 should be OK. Your biggest challenge will be the electronics, but it is doable.
