Does anyone have any info on the '02 Ram redesign? I read about a new all aluminum sohc 3.7 v6 based on the 4.7 in the Grand Cherokee for the '02. That would be great. A modern sohc six in a full size truck, what a concept. I guess Dodge engineers were tired of the 90 degree 3.9 six with no balance shaft, a loser of a motor. Being that the 4.2 will be around till '03 it better watch out. Mean while Chevys new inline six will be interesting if it is sohc.

 

Dodge sucks plain and simple. It's the third leg of the big three, and can't keep up w/ Ford #1, and those other GM's #2. I'm sure you knew this. Just venting. Sorry.

 

yea, hemis,6packs,dual quads, cast v-10,alum v-10's, cummins, they might be a third leg, but have set of @@@@'s to go with it.

 

I own 2 Fords. I think Dodge's new 6 design will be superior to both Ford's and Chevy's pushrod designs. You can get a lemon from any of the big 3. It seems to get the v8 you have to buy the high dollar trim package with power everyting. I checked 4 dealerships none had a regular cab xl 4.6 auto.

 

4.6L XL autos are a fairly common in SC.
5.4L in an XL now thats a hard find.
