Consistency

I'm very curious how consistent these vehicles are.

I would like to know at 2k rpms your MPH

When I'm on cruise at 2k rpms I'm right at 75mph
factory 3.55LS with factory 265 70 17s.

Engine rotation to Wheel rotation is solid except for the torque convertor. I would expect to see pretty consistent numbers in common vehicles, however who knows?

LOCOSCREW,
Same RPM and MPH here too. Same on axle and wheels/tires.
That's two! How's that for consistency?

Got 3.73's with LS in my HD special and 4R100 tranny and 275 x 45 x 20 tires. @ 2k I'm running about 69 mph. Just a tad over 2k at 70mph.

With the stock tires 255/70-16 and the 3.55 gears you should be at 2000 exactly....at 70 mph...

Now the SCrew i just bought withe the same driveline and 4.6 you can tell that it is optomistic because the speedo says 73 at 2000...this is wrong as I have been radared a couple of times and I am not going that fast....I am at 70mph....

I just made a trip fromDetroit MI to Brunswick GA and checked the mileage carrfully. Results:

I-75 south to I-16 east to I-95 south 20.1 MPH (includes a small seven mile backup trying to get into Tenn from Kentucky - took almost 2 hous of crawling and sitting)

I-95 north to I26 west to I-77 north to I-80 west to I-75 north 20.2 MPH.

Best mileage - going downhill on 77 in West Virginia and Ohio 22.3

Worst mileage - going uphill on 77 in the Carolinas virginia and West Virginia 17.75

Not bad for a full sized pickup with the 'big' engine (they can't fool me, it's still a small block).
