Please help

I just got a 2002 f150 and I recently helped a friend get out of some mud causing my truck to get muddy as well. After I cleaned everything under carriage and all I started to hear a dog whistle like sound coming from the car and I don't thing it is the belt or transmission because I had them checked out right before I bought it and they said it was in perfect condition does anybody have or had a similar problem and knows any way to help?

Where on the vehicle? Motor, tranny, 4wd? Mine just rusts off the manifold flange bolts.

One thing about mud, it gets everywhere. Your pulleys could have sand in the grooves.

do NOT pressure wash your engine to clean the mud and dirt off!

Make sure the air box didn't clog. The inlet maybe,- inside the wheel well. And if it by chance got wet up in there, - the filter can clog as well.
