Post K&N Filter Element

I've had mine for a few weeks now. No noticeable power or mileage improvements. Since its reusable, it still should pay for itself over the life of the truck. After installation, I read some of the posts which indicated filtration was perhaps not as good as a paper element. I don't use the truck in a dusty environment and I change oil every 5000 miles, so I'll be crossing my fingers and leaving it in.

D B D,

How's goes it?

I agree w/you. I'v had my K&N for about a month now and have not noticed a bit of difference in performance or mileage. I was hoping to see a little mpg gain. I still like the idea of the filter being reusable. It will pay for its self eventually, and it sounds cool when you say that you've done slight mods to the intake system. I have also read a couple of posts regarding the open air filter system (airaid and FIPK). I just don't understand how the hot engine air can do that much or if it is the openess of the system?

Maybe we'll gst some good feed back so we can upgrade.

Any help F150'ers?
