Pic #1 is the PCV elbow (Positive Crankcase Ventilation) coming off of passenger side valve cover. Pic #2 is the coolant crossover temp sensor?

Number 2 I believe is the inlet for the cold climate system that ties into the pcv elbow and throttle body. It has a hard line that wraps around the pcv valve then goes to the back of the throttle body at that elbow you see. What plenum is that?

That's right. That can just be plugged if you don't intend to use it. I don't see a CCS tree on the plenum, so it may have wrapped the PCV valve itself. They did that in 02 with the 5.4L intakes, but,- that is a 4.6L intake so I'm not exactly sure which years had that wrap around. If I had to guess, that's an 02 4.6L intake.

Anyway, the hose that connects to that ends @ the heater core hard line. This hose is often referred to as the bypass hose.

BTW- I've never seen a PCV elbow like that in the past. Actually that looks like it has a coolant wrap around integrated. So that may eliminate the need for a plenum tree.

Like I said, all that can be plugged off if you live in a warm area, above freezing most of the time.
