Please help...won't stay cranked
Replaced the fuel pump 6 months ago and have no problems with it since. Yesterday while driving it all of the sudden lost power as if it was running out and shut off. Battery is fine. Fuel pump is priming and sending fuel to the fuel rail. Checked all the fuses and relays and they're all fine. Now I'm at a dead end and not sure where to look next. Could it be an electrical problem or is it possible that after it turns over that the fuel pump could not be sending enough gas? Got it to crank today for about 3 seconds and it started chugging like it was running out of gas again and cut back off. I'm putting some gas in a can on my way home and trying that just in case my gauge isn't accurate, I'm pretty sure it is though. Any direction would be greatly appreciated!!!!
Fuel filter was replaced when the pump was. I'll check the pressure and see what it is. What if it isn't 28psi...what would I need to do next to fix that? Does that mean its the fuel pump not sending enough? Thanks btw!!
Replaced the fuel pressure regulator and still no go. Possible the pump is defective?? Also, if my ignition coils were bad would it cause it not to crank and actually cut off while driving?...which is what happened. I'm thinking fuel cuz of the cut off during driving, but then again I don't have a clue or I'd have it fixed already.
Have you ever checked the fuel pressure like was suggested earlier? If the pressure is good it's probably not the pump.

Don't have an anti theft light flashing, dont think I even have one of those. Checked the pressure after the new regulator and hardly no pressure at all. Removed the six month old fuel filter and it was pretty nasty. Turned it over with the filter off to see how much fuel the pump would pump out and not much at all. Thinking the 6 month old pump could be defective? Gonna work on removing and replacing it under warranty asap. Can't think of any other problem it could be. Its doing the same thing it did when the pump went out 6 months ago.

The internal filter could be clogged. Good chance of that if the inline filter was nasty, you could have some major crap in your gas tank. If you pull the pump, I'd drop the tank and get it flushed.
