Fuel pump Trouble

The line into the fuel pump has a possibly stripped bolt and it just keeps, well the best way to put it is un threading rather then getting stuck. Anyway to know to fix that? Also possibility is that because of a line modification with a rubber line it's not wanting to steady or it could be to long so it's kinda have to much wiggle room. Any suggestions for a fix outside of just a replacement because if I have to replace the line then I gotta get a brand new carb.

Your post makes no sense because you provided no details on your vehicle. What are we dealing with?

Need to work really hard on the communication skills, and I mean REALLY hard. Also need to let the people here know, is this a lawn mower, a Farmall tractor, a Chebby truck (we don't work on those here) or a Ford F-150 and if so what year. We're kinda short on psychics here lately.

Sorry about that. Cousin posted and apparently didn't listen. Doesn't matter, It was a 1989 F-150 pickup, and the bolt was stripped out so I had to end up getting a new fuel pump since it was completely stripped out.
