With my 5.0, I have lost about 1 mpg. More disturbing is that I have discovered that the pumps are off at the Chevron wher I fill up once a week. They are shoing approximately one extra gallon when I buy 20 gallons.

I get 1.5 MPG less in my 4.6 auto. I'm mostly hwy- or rural with little stopping for 60-80 miles round trip.

When gas hit over 4 a gallon, and we do a tank a week for work, just me was 400+ month.... sigh.... and they say look out, it's going to get to that or even greater -- again.
I agree but I don't believe during the first few minutes of operation until the engine temp stabilizes. I could be wrong however. Not sure how the ECM strategy is currently setup in terms of emissions. I went to EEC school and didn't learn anything, way over my head...
