Question Aftermarket Mass Airflow Sensor - any help?

OK, so lately I've been working on the performance (hp as well asm pg) of my 98 4.6L F-150. So far I've put in the Airaid Air Intake system, a superchip, a Gibson exhaust, and the JBA Headers will be going on this week. My question is aftermarket MAF sensors, and if anyone has experienced any great improvements. The oeni have seen was the Granettli Motor Sports Mass Airflow Sensor out of the Performance Products catalog. It goes for $265, not sure if that's worth it though. Any help is appreciated!

Typically larger MAF sensors don't give much benefit till you start making internal engine changes like porting and a cam which significantly raise the thruput of the engine. At that point, you usually need larger injectors. A slightly larger sensor won't hurt anything, but it probably won't help a lot either. A really large sensor can cause drivability problems on a nearly-stock engine. The 4.6 allegedly responds very well to an increase in throttle body size (SVO #M-9926-D462 w/ gasket M-9933-D462) but that part is NOT smog-legal. If you live in an EPA inspection area, this could be a problem.
