dealerships arent all bad, yes we're pricey but you get what you pay for. I can't tell you the number of cars we get from other indi shops that break a car and cant get it fixed. Or take it apart and realize they're in over their heads

I had one earlier this week from Discount, they lifted it incorrectly and blew both front air springs

I agree. A tech by know means has it easy. I don't think they ever get enough credit or respect. Tough job, keeping up with evolution and they're usually under the gun. I bet it can be stressful at times.

It takes interest, devotion and you really have to like your job in order to make it.

You get what you pay for here.

Aren't you ever going to let this lie? We know that your dealer sucks, but that doesn't mean they ALL do! Stop trolling.

I agree with engineguy. We used to dyno test the remans (AER, Jasper) right next to the new factory engines at Ford then perform teardown analysis on everyone of them. The remans would hold up just as well as the new builds. The remans had to pass the same testing our new engines endured. Very rarely did we ever have any failures with either. You can get long block rebuilds for around $3,500 and just install the intake etc. from your old engine. I would not hesitate buying a reman from a reputable company. Just my opinion.
