oil gauge and light

oil gauge and light

help ford bros.. have 97 f-150 4.6 triton 68.000 on it just bought from dealer.. 2 days later oil gauge starts to go wild up and down stays up at higher speeds but will drop some times with light on.. truck seems to run fine outher than this problem.. also oil level is fine but looks like it could be changed.. any suggestions
would be a big help..

First of all the gages ford uses are just idot lights they are made to relax owners from thinking something is wrong with the car or truck it sits idle and never moves. Maybe yours is a replacement that a smart owner put in so he or she could tell when the oil was low instaed of waiting to find out when its almost to late.
