So, the 99' Expy had the Navi engine installed?

Anyway, try using Navi for your search...here's one.

If its already been swapped and you get the complete doner it should be easy. Just take EVEYTHING the wiring harness the ECM and all. Then just a mater of swapping it all over and getting it work..

i cannot get the entire doner. my problem isnt what to get i dont have any problem with that. i can get all the parts i need cheap. my questions are about the actual install. like the link that was posted. i read through that and he was having problems with the heater hose being able to hook up. the breather. and then broke down soon latter. i work with my truck so after i put it in i want to make sure that im going to be good to go. the engine and tranny both have 250,000 miles on them and i dont know how much more they will last.

not sure on the linkage but im pretty confident the 4r100 is longer so you will need to have your drive shaft shortened

i guess i will have to measure the tranny lenght then when i go to the junkyard. if it is i dont want to do it. if thats the case then should i just rebuild a 4.6 or is there another 5.4 that i wouldnt have to swap to a longer tranny with?
