Anyway, yea, the flap designs that I've personally seen is with the Essex engines. One butterfly per runner. The runner being each intake tube (runners) The Ford 3.8 and 4.2L's have these, - or had (10th generation). Operates via PCM/ vacuum controllers (2)/ pinned to the back of the intake.

Has anybody deleted the valve on a 2v 4.6?? The reason that I ask is that I'm doing a pi swap with my 98 4.6 with a built shortblock. And I have a lower intake with the valve and one without. Which should I use?
