Question Battery Saver

The other day I was waiting for my wife
to come out of the store and had left
on the fan and radio for two hours, without the engine on. When she had come out, my F-150 would not start up. I was getting a clicking noise from the starter, but, the truck would not turn over. I had to get a jump start. The sticker which was on the window when I brought the truck, lists a battery saver. What is the function of the battery saver? Is it suppose to kick in when
the battery gets low, which it obviously did not. Cannot find any information in the owner's manuel.

NYNY, I would assume that you must have left the ignition switch in one of the 'on' positions with the key inserted in order to have the fan and radio working. The battery saver feature is designed to shut down headlights, interior lights etc if they are left on after you walk away from your rig with keys in your pocket. At least this is the way I think it is supposed to work based on my experience of leaving the dome light switch on for a couple of days without realizing it. The dome light would shut off by itself after about 15 min or so. Took me a while to figure out what was actually happening. Hope this helps and take care.
