Almost anything is possible. But say bye-bye to reliability. BTW, the 6.0 isn't a 350.

If you are that concerned about what is "fast", you made a grave mistake in buying a V-6 truck. I suggest you sell it, and go buy a the lightest car you can find with a biggest engine you can find have at it. You can put just about any GM engine you want in your truck, however it will not be cost effective, and most true automotive enthusiasts would not consider it a Ford anymore anyhow.

I know that no one wants to hear this but the truth of the matter is that the Chevy 350 (which is not the engine in question) is simply one of the best engines ever produced. They are very reliable and they put out plenty of power. And Goodness knows all the aftermarket folks in the world make parts for the things. But should someone seriously consider putting one into any relatively new Ford truck? Of course not! It wouldn't be worth the expense in any terms you'd choose to measure it in and the fact of the matter is that the value of the Ford truck would plumet to near zero in they eyes of near anyone old enough to afford a truck in the first place and who has enough sense to pick his own nose without help. But back to the question of could you do it? Of course you could, with room to spare, folks have been putting those small block chevys in virtually everything with two or four wheels since the late 1950's and you can too if you have more money than brains.

Putting a Chevy engine in a Ford is a disgrace to Ford. You are going to end up paying easily 4000$ on that engine and for what? Speed? Not really. Trade in your truck, Get a 1999 F150 Reg Cab, SHort Bed, with the 5.4 and 3:55 gears {or get the Supercab , short bed} and you'll waste chevy 5.3 liters and 350 V8's. Get a superchip and you'll waste 6 liters. Get an Airaid system, and you'll waste them even more. The Triton engines are so much better than the Vortech engines. go to https://www.f150online.com/sounds/stock54.wav and listen to the grunt of the 5.4 Liter. No other engine on any Dodge or Chevy sounds that good. Want to talk about fast? Ive beaten 5.3 Liters and 350's of the line and down the road with my 4.6 [which is stock}, and I know the 5.4 is alot faster than mine, So I just wonder what i could do with a 5.4.

Don't forget, Chevrolet/GMC is currently only offering the 6.0L engine in 3/4 ton and larger trucks.

the ford 302 was one great engine and there is all kinds of stuff you can get for them as well and well chevy had to put the 350 in its comaro in order to beat the mustang since the 305 couldn't get the job done back in the early 90's

I think the best solution for Dantheman is to buy a Chevy with the 6.0 engine and put the Ford sheet metal on it......
