What is tearing my engine up?
What is tearing my engine up?
I could not resist any longer and had to start this thread. We spend alot of time worrying about the oil and air filter but guess what I found.
The fuel is what is dirtying my oil more than the air
The fuel is leaving soot in my exhaust instead of the air leaving dust
The fuel is wearing my piston and valves down more than the oil.
The fuel leaves more deposits in the combustion chamber than the air and oil combined.
Darn I'm at a loss, do I have the wrong fuel filter? do I use the wrong fuel? do I need a performance fuel filtering system. I'm sure that if I can resolve this I can cure the common cold!

Performance Fuel Filters
Actually there is a remedy for the fuel problem.
DAHL makes an aftermarket fuel/water filter that dramatically outperforms any OEM filter check it out:

This filter can filter down to 2 microns. Keeping your system much cleaner than with other systems.
As far as the rest of your intake and combustion chamber there are additves that help reduce deposts, but you must remeber you are burning your fuel, and with that you will always get some type of deposit no matter how clean the fuel or how complete the burn is.
