Question Gas Additives

Dumb questions about gas additives? If I spend 3 dollars on a plastic bottle of let's say ( STP ) gas additive every time I fill up my tank, will I get the savings back in increased gas mileage. That would increase the cost of my gas a dime a gallon. Does any one have a suggestion about certain other additives that would help out in gas mileage. When I first got my new screw, the dealer had the tank filled up for me. ( said the first tank was on him ). It liked to never went down. I could not believe the good mileage. But after that first tank, I am now getting about 10 - 11 town & 15 - 16 Hwy. I was thinking maybe he put some additive in the first tank. Any help will be appreciated.

Concentrated Additive

There are some concentrated additves on the market that you only need to use 1oz/10 gallons of gas.

Of coarse the price is higher but I'm getting one that costs$7.30 for 16 oz's.

It works out to .46/oz and I usually run about 2-3 oz every other tank. So it costs me $.92 every other tank.

I look at it this way. I have went from using mid-grade down to regular. I was getting knock with midgrade now I don't get any knock even with regular. It is cheaper for me to spend about $.60 a tank(average) than it was to use mid-grade(about $2-3 more per tank every fill up!
