Did you ever try their "25,000 mile change interval"?

I just serviced a "fleet" of work vans, that use the 25,000 mile interval ... the oil came out in "globs", as I expected. BTW, the "owner" of the service fleet informed me that he would probably start changing his precious Amsoil at 35,000 mile intervals. I laughed my *** off!

and wouldn't be putting out erroneous information about blending regular and synthetic oils.

<looking around>

You've never heard of "Synthetic Blend"?

<rolls eyes>

Cool

You guys argue this all day. I use the new Crisco synthetic cooking oil and at 3000 miles it all comes back except for a spoonfull.

If you would please inform the customer that you just serviced that Amsoil recommends that gasoline fleet vehicles be changed at up to 3 times longer than what is recommended or 6 months, whichever comes first.

Whoever this guys dealer is, is doing the business an injustice!.

Here is a guide that lists gasoline fleets and the proper interval for those vehicles:
http://www.amsoil.com/lit/intvlgui.pdf

Even the series 3000 0w30 is still only recommended at 3 times what the manufacture recommends. Which would be about 15000 miles or 6 months.

If that customer has a problem with any of their engines they will be voided by Amsoil's warrenty for improper "Amsoil recommended interval"

FYI the 25,000 mile interval is for gasoline personal passenger vehicles.

Now if the Fleet owner want to do oil analysis then he can extended farther than what Amsoil recommeds but if he doens't, then he needs to stick with the recommended interval!!!

FYI,

Here are some pictures of a Dodge shadow with 25,000 mile oil changes and 135,000 miles on the engine. All looks well to me!!

all of the pics can be found here along with some closeups:

SNAKE OIL

I used to use Mobil 1 all the time, then I got to thinking about it. I trade off my truck at around 50,000 miles, so why spend all that extra money on oil when I wont ever see any good out of it.

I was a service manager of a very large car dealership, and in all my years i never ever saw an engine that failed because of the brand and type of oil. Sure, they will fail if yoiu don't change it, or you run it out of oil, but that's about it.

You people should worry more about something worth worrying about and forget about the oil question.
