2004 F150 Spark Plugs. 92K miles. Not horrible.
Just to let people know, I took my truck to the local dealer for a spark plug change. Thanks to all of the warnings on this site, I didn't bother trying to do them on my own. 92k on the truck, and never had a plug change before.
Told the dealer that I couldn't afford to pay them to extract broken plugs, so I suggested they take as long as they needed to really soak them before complete removal. They took two days.
The bill came to $628 (they also did a sticker, and a transfer case fluid change), and only broke one plug. Charged me $350 for the plug change, plus 1/2 hour extra to extract the broken plug. Allegedly, they turned the plug 1/8 of a turn, and soaked it. Repeat until the plugs were out.
I wasn't happy about paying $350 for a plug change, but it could have been a lot worse. It seems as though the mechanics are getting better at this.

There were a lot of warnings but also a lot of good advice. Once I dove in it wasn't as bad as it sounded. It took me a long time but I had the grandson (2 year old) "helping" me.
I had to go back and re torque my plugs as I was smelling some gas. Took about an hour at the most to get everything out of the way, re-torque, and put it back together.
