Cracked Manifold

Pretty sure my intake manifold is cracked. What is my best option for replacement? I've heard about getting a used one from an 03 truck? Or should I just order an aftermarket replacement?

Truck is an 01 with the 5.4. Thanks in advance.

Intake manifold. New one is fairly cheap, with a gasket set youll be around 200. Replace the plugs while the intake is off. Clean the TB, egr ports etc. Should be around a 1-4hr job total

Just went through this awhile ago....The one on rockauto is a dorman intake and it uses their own rubber o ring gasket type things. It's $191.79, not sure if it comes with o ring gaskets or not. Myself, i wanted to keep it the same as what i took off and went to a junkyard and got one for $200 plus $60 fel pro gaskets, put it all back together and everything is fine.. Just make sure if you get one from a junkyard to triple check both front sides of it where the water crossover mounts to it and make sure its not cracked at all....Thats what cracks and causes a leak...Good luck though.

Yes it is the intake manifold I was asking about. My exhaust manifolds are leaking too and I hope to go LT once the cash comes in.

I have found a used intake off an 03 Expedition for a better price than a new one. Would this work? I remember seeing that the 03 manifolds are little better than others.

Yea, that one will work....same 5.4 motor. I got one off an 03 54 motor also and it fit my 01 just fine...All the same.
