valve adjustment question

I'm installing stock rebuilt heads on my 96 460. Do I have to adjust the valves. I had the old heads resurfaced a few years ago after I removed them because of a snapped exhaust manifold bolt. They were warped. I should have had them magnafluxed because one is cracked. Anyway when I installed the old heads then, the factory service manual only called for reinstalling after the re-surfacing and tightening to spec. Can I do the same with a set of reman. heads. I'll be using the original rockers/pushrods/bolts in the original locations.

yes. The valves are not adjustable.. Unless you have a solid adjustable camshaft and it doesn't sound like you do.

The motor is all stock and healthy other than the head. If they had to be adjusted the only way is shims or different length pushrods. I just wanted to make sure I don't have to mearsure pushrods or shims with the reman. heads.

Thanks for the infor. You just saved me the painstaking task of measuring pushrods or shimming. At least I think it's a pain in the a.
