EGR valve p0401 code

First off my truck runs perfect, i have replaced the EGR valve and DPFE sensor and still the light comes on. throwin the same p0401 code. it has a smooth idle, doesnt run rough, has great throttle responce. i have done all the mantaince on it. it has 133K. i belive the EGR passages/ports on the intake need to be cleaned. im just goin on a trip to the beach and dont have time right now. im just wondering if it will be ok to drive with it like this. its actually been like this for a while, i just got around to replacing stuff. and the light is still comming on witch is aggravating. im just goin on a spring break trip and need to know if it wont hurt anything to leave it for alittle while longer. thanks steven

If it runs good and doesn't spark knock, it's safe to drive. If it does spark knock, use premium gas till you can fix it.

i have one other question, could i just spray throttle body cleaner threw the hole were the egr bolts up to wouldnt tht go threw tht passages and clean them out or atleast soften up the carbon enough to wear the pressure in the system to blow it out of the ports.

You don't want that crap blowing out the ports and down the intake.

yea thats true man, thanks for the reply i was just askin cause someone else on here did that, but i figured it wouldnt be a very good idea. ill just remove the whole thing and clean it out after spring break. is it hard to remove?? i know theres like 4 or 5 bolts.
