What are you guys getting with the 302?

I'm averaging 13.9mpg around town in a 2011 SuperCrew 4X4 with the 302 V8 and off-road package.

My neighbor has a 2011 SuperCab with the same motor, not off-road and he's getting 16.8mpg.

 

Just a little over 3,500 miles, 18.303 last tank on combined city/highway, Shell 87 octane (E10) gas. The best is a little over 20 mpg in combined driving. All mpg's calculated with basic math.

 

I have had my 2011 F150 about a week.It's race red SuperCrew 4X4 302 with 3.73 rear.I'm getting 16.9mpg.

 

I'm getting my MPG from the dashboard computer. Are you guys getting yours from simple math? Maybe I need to do that instead of obsessing with the computer.

The better the motor sounds, the lower the MPG meter goes

 

Keep your foot out of it and you will get better mileage. Those neat sounds come at a price.
