Remove the drive belts and spin the pulleys by hand. Pay special attention to the tensioner or idler pulley. Look for any noise.

If it's a "whining" noise, its probably one of the pulleys....When my tensioner pulley went, it was whining like a **** then it finally locked up and broke the belt so yea, check tensioner and idler pulleys along with the others....

did you replace the idler pulley to? Timing chains rarely fail on these engines. Remove the belt, if the noise is gone when you start it briefly with out the belt on it is one of the things the belt turns. PS AC Idler tensioner that you replaced so it aint that..
Sometimes the timing chain guides do wear out so it coud be that..
