I can't take it any more. At 50,000 miles the diesel noise started. I was told by the dealer that it was normal for that year. Now at 150,000 the noise is about to drive me insane. Is it worth fixing or just drive it until it blows and throw in a used motor. My question is at what year does the noise stop? What Year should I look for? Shame on you Ford you made it impossible to sell my truck and purchase a new one. The dealer won't give me anything for it (same phaser noise they said was normal) and any private party backs off from the noise. Nothing like backing up your own product. Built ford tough??????? I am sad to say that I might have to go to Obama Motors . Don't let the dealer tell you it is normal have them replace per ford service bulletin.
