More details, how many miles? Was it in a front end collision? What year? If they have a ton of miles, not much you can do other than cores for a rebuild or reman. If your looking for a direct swap and they were low mileage parts then its a smoking deal. But if the miles are high and your looking to build them up while you still use your daily driver, still not a bad deal.

the 2001 f150 5.4 was a roll over it has 63k miles on it like i said even if i got it in my truck and i had it 29 days and it started pouring blue smoke i have a warranty even if i had it 1 year and it started pouring blue smoke and i had to rebuild it i still wouldnt have but around 1290 bucks in rebuilt motor but like i said before i am swapping my 4.6 to a 5.4 i can use my old trans that i know is good just have to swap torque conv this just goes to show you that the smaller junk yards are making a killing a friend of mine went and got his bachelors degree in business management and he got a loan and bought out a junk yard here in alabama i thought that was stupid to go through school that long to only become a junkman that was 8 years ago he is now what i would call a rich manhe said he may buy a car for like 250 bucks totaled by the time he sells the last of the car he has in most cases made 350% profit and it gets better those guys at pullapart.com makes good money probably 50 to 60% profit

That is a STEAL. Expect it to smoke on start up it should burn off after several minutes. Oil gets in the combustion chamber when there upside down. Shouldn't hurt the engine though. Been there done that.. I paid 1300 for one that had 40k on it with a simular warranty.

Yeah, sounds like a good deal then, smokin deal actually. Yeah, I have a friend who owns a wrecking yard and a few tow trucks... you would be surprised what they make. There are a lot of environmental fees and issues from what he told me. It's a bit of a battle to keep his company going but he does and makes a damn good living.

Yeah, when I was on the hunt for a 5.4L I tried the local places. One of them offered me one with 150k, no warranty for the cheap price of... $1200. I did find some decent ones but held out. Good thing I did. Found mine through craigslists and ended up picking up the motor and tranny still on the salvaged truck for a good price. Nothing like what he got though lol. But I made my money back selling off the other parts.

Maybe not in your IMMEDIATE area, but at least in Oregon. We have 3 or 4 of them in the county I live in in Ca. More of 'em in the adjoining county and none of 'em are on that list because they are called Pick-A-Part, different name.

Gotta love pullapart. I've been to the one in my area lots of times. Found rims, ignition coils, headlights and doors for several vehicles now. Only thing is they don't allow torches, jacks or grinders in my area. We did take a generator there one time with an electric sawzall to cut the hinges off some van side doors for my boss' hightop Chevy. No problems but everyone just looked at us like we're crazy. lol
