I'm not going to bother trying to prove you wrong on anything because it makes my head hurt just trying to read your posts. Haven't you learned how to form sentences yet?

This gets more interesting by the minute why dont we just talk about how ignorant people are and how they dont use quotation marks and have alot of typos and run on sentences and lets talk about how smart we are cause we know how to use grammer and spell check instead of learning about ford vehicles you see its very ignorant of someone go into a cheap engine forum read something posted by someone on purpose knowing itS gonna make at least 2 or 3 people cry about how bad my head hurts or how much of a troll they act like or what ever people we are the future of america no wonder we voted in a traiter for our president hell it all makes sense we as americans are ignorant just as ignorant as this post is hahahahah i am ashamed to be an american the other countries are eggin us on much like i egg you guys on to a point you start crying posting all over oh my poor little head hurts when i read your post hell idiots of america if it hurts you stop reading it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I don't understand any of this...
You high?

Seriously though, I sensed the hostility.. but other than that, I'm not sure what anything else meant. But your mad about something.

I think you said we should stop taking the time to make proper sentences so we can spend more time learning about ford vehicles? I think that's a great idea.

And something to do with the president.

Anyways man go get that motor you have a long road and big list of things to do but youll be happy with the end result just take your time and make sure you do everything right even it if needs a rebuild you will still be arlight make sure even if you dont rebuild it that you put new gaskets and stuff and new motor mounts

Get it on the engine stand and pull the oil pan. Rotate the assembly and check for any bad bottom end bearings. Also pull the pulleys off, then remove the timing chain cover and inspect the tensioner, idler and guides. Also check the water pump for any play. Pull the cam covers and inspect the upper head for any visual signs of damage or anything out of the ordinary. If all looks good, throw some new gaskets in it and get to work. The intake manifold will have to come off for the swap so clean all of that up including the throttle body and elbow. Clean the mating surface while its out and pick up new lower and upper intake gaskets. Think the whole gasket set was like $50 or something. Throw some new motorcraft plugs in it while its out and torque them to 28ft/lbs with no anti seize. Inspect all the cop boots and springs... Can't think of anything else atm.

oh, new motor mounts and tranny mounts are always a good idea. Inspect the exhaust manifold studs while its out too, if any look suspicious or worn, remove and replace with SS studs and new manifold gaskets. They are prone to deteriorate and break causing exhaust leaks. These are all pretty cheap things, maybe $150 worth of stuff (mounts, gaskets, studs etc...) that can prevent a lot of headache down the road. I doubt with 60k on it that it would have too many issues but it depends on whoever had it. Could have ran the wrong oil in it, never changed it.. who knows you know, so check it out. You could boroscope the cylinders and check for carbon and stuff like that but I don't think you need to.

Seriously Mr. Suds, STOP! Your IQ is showing, and I don't mean the high one either! Seems like too many brothers, sister and cousins marrying down in your part of the woods.

Like jethat said earlier, normal for a rollover engine to smoke on start up as oil has gotten into the cylinders. Should clear up within a couple of minutes.

Sounds like you got it in pretty quick... yesterday you said you were picking it up in the morning, and now its driving? Quickest I've seen. Especially for a 4.6 to 5.4 swap and all the extra work involved (harness swap, parts swap etc...).

You pulling my leg? Someones pulling my leg.

F150suds, didn't you go to elementary school? There is this thing called a "period" that goes at the end of these clusters of words called "sentences". You should have learned about this in 2nd grade grammar at the latest. Nobody on here can even comprehend your jibberish posts and BTW, how the hell did you install that engine in less than a day? Not even a direct swap.
How's this for you, if you can take a 5.4 and install it in a truck that had a 4.6 in less than a day, why don't I come to your house and you can frame off restoration my 90 Ranger for me in a few hours? Sound good?

Don't argue with an idiot. They will only drag you to their level and beat you with experience.

Did you use the cop's from the 5.4L or the coil packs from the 4.6 along with the wiring harness from the 4.6.
