limit of factory injectors 97-03

I have a 97 f150 with a 5.4 from an 03 which has 19 lb injectors

right now i have OBX long tube headers
2.5" exhaust
x pipe
magnaflows

i just ordered an AF1 CAI

and im going to be ordering e fans and a tuner in a couple weeks

am i going to have to step up to 24 lb injectors with this set up or will the 19's be okay?

does anyone else with an 01-03 have this set up with factory injectors?

19 lb injectors are plenty for anything naturally aspirated.

Why the CAI? Just do a Gotts mod to the stock airbox.

i would have but the person who had it before me cut up the stock one so everything after the filter is gone, and none of the junkyards near me had one.

so is it 258 or 310?

i think an 03 is suposed to make 260 from the factory i would think it would be around 300 with full exhaust, tuner, intake, and e fans

thats 258hp at 50% duty cycle. The 19lb injectors are good to 300rwhp. You have no need to step up to 24lb injectors.

My tuner had to cut back 20% on injectors across the rpm range to get AF right on my 5.4 after installing a set of comp cams in my motor.
stock 19 lb injectors.
275 hp, 365 foot lbs of tq.

i am going to be running basically the same setup as you are with troyer custom tunes, I talked to them about it earlier this week and they said that 24lb injectors were a must so Im a little up in the air now because it looks like they may work, but I really trust troyer and personally feel they know these trucks better than just about anyone out there so I will probably go with what they reccomend as I am looking to setup a really well matched complete setup

Im sure I could buy them from troyer however is there a cheaper place to get them and where? I dont even really know what to expect to pay for a set of the injectors

Injector change

When you change to a higher flow injector you have to change the values that go with them so they function as designed.

Curious..is there a difference between 19 pound injectors and 21 pound injectors, I have a 1990f150 with a 5.0 would I have to run a bigger fuel pump or could I get by with using a stock one???
