The oil pressure gauge is a fake, so whatever it does is virtually meaningless until you confirm it with a mechanical gauge. But I wouldn't advise deleting the original gauge, OR permanently installing a mechanical - just use the mech gauge under the hood until you determine what the real pressure is. Afterward, the best move is to make the original actually work, as described in this caption & those linked in it:
